Structural and General Edit
A structural and general edit manuscript development edit will examine
everything from the unfolding of ideas to writing style, voice,
characterization and structure. There will be some on-page editing for
sentence, paragraph and chapter structure but not highly detailed copy-editing
for spelling, punctuation and grammar. If you have a few chapters and need to
know whether you are heading in the right direction, or a complete first draft
and want to know if it is working and how to improve it, send your ms in for a
manuscript development report. The service consists of on-page comments plus a
full written report.
Patti Miller will work on structural editing of manuscripts herself unless she advises otherwise. If she considers the ms more suitable for Anthony Reeder, she will recommend it to him. Manuscripts are dated in order of arrival; please allow around six weeks for your manuscript to be returned to you.
Cost: Approx $590 for average
length ms (50 - 70,000 words) N.B. Cost varies according to both length of

Copy
Editing
This is
highly detailed, professional print-ready editing. Grammar, punctuation,
spelling and lay-out are corrected. In commercial publishing this is done by the publisher, so
if you are intending to commercially publish, you do not need us. If however
you intend to self publish or are organizing publication for business
materials, then you will need a copy editor. We offer
copy-editing for all areas of writing – short stories, novels and memoir as

Writing
We also offer a writing service for business writing and for memoir. If you have an important proposal or presentation or persuasive article which you have notes for, but not the time or expertise to write, we can write it for you.
